چکیده

Abstract. To investigate the characteristics and changes in sources of carbonaceous aerosols northern Chinese cities after implementation Action Plan for Air Pollution Prevention Control 2013, we collected PM2.5 samples from three representative inland cities, i.e., Beijing (BJ), Xi'an (XA), Linfen (LF), January 2018 to April 2019. Elemental carbon (EC), organic (OC), levoglucosan, stable isotope, radiocarbon were measured quantify aerosol, combined with Latin hypercube sampling. The best estimate source apportionment showed that emissions liquid fossil fuels contributed 29.3±12.7 %, 24.9±18.0 20.9±12.3 % total (TC) BJ, XA, LF, respectively, whereas coal combustion 15.5±8.8 20.9±18.0 42.9±19.4 respectively. Non-fossil accounted 55±11 54±10 36±14 TC In 44.8±26.8 non-fossil attributed biomass burning. highest contributors OC LF XA (74.2±9.6 43.2±10.8 respectively), those BJ (66.8±13.9 %). main EC sources, accounting 91.4±7.5 66.8±23.8 88.4±10.8 decline (6 %–16 %) contributions since indicates effectiveness air quality management. We suggest specific measures targeted at combustion, burning, vehicle different should be strengthened future.

Source apportionment of carbonaceous aerosol in southern Sweden

A one-year study was performed at the Vavihill background station in southern Sweden to estimate the anthropogenic contribution to the carbonaceous aerosol. Weekly samples of the particulate matter PM10 were collected on quartz filters, and the amounts of organic carbon, elemental carbon, radiocarbon (14C) and levoglucosan were measured. This approach enabled source apportionment of the total c...

Size distribution, mixing state and source apportionment of black carbon aerosol in London during wintertime

Black carbon aerosols (BC) at a London urban site were characterised in both winterand summertime 2012 during the Clean Air for London (ClearfLo) project. Positive matrix factorisation (PMF) factors of organic aerosol mass spectra measured by a high-resolution aerosol mass spectrometer (HR-AMS) showed traffic-dominant sources in summer but in winter the influence of additional non-traffic sourc...
